Create a Microworld
Using Photoshop to create a 'Microworld'. The one idea is from 'Benny Productions' Youtube channel (his one is below). However mine will be aimed at bringing awareness to products potential negative effects when online shopping.

Main Learning Objectives
Adobe Photoshop

Use Template
I used the template that Benny Productions had made to start of my Photoshop drawing. This helped me get the perspective right, which was something new to me in Photoshop.
I could then lay and transform each image on top of the template, and mask out the necessary parts.

Find Suitable Images
Initially I needed suitable images for the Microworld. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted so I went of this and tried to find ones with the most similar lighting.

Follow Tutorial
I used the methods in the tutorial to help, however, a lot of this had to be figured out through trial and error using previous knowledge due to it being a completely different image.
It involved transforming, masking, hue adjustment layers and more.

My Learning Journey
Creating a Microworld
1.
Aim: Mimic the design process of creating a Microworld on photoshop
Learning Method: Youtube, Trial & Error and Research
Learning Sources
Goal Achieved?
Yes. I accomplished exactly what I set out to do.
In the future I would look at adding this to the plug-in that it would have potentially been used in. However my project went a slightly different direction.
Final Results
I was really happy with the final result. I managed to merge the images together fairly well using the techniques shown and ended with a thought-provoking Microplanet that might make people think twice before making a purchase.

Key Insights/findings
-
Using the hue/saturation adjustment layer along with a mask and brush is key to blending photos together
-
It's helpful to have images with similar colours in them to begin with
-
Use of tools I had never seen before on the sidebar

Trial & Error
I used trial and error to slowly build my Microworld as realistically as possible. I was using completely different images which proved a challenge.

Youtube Tutorials
Benny Uploaded one video showing roughly how he makes the Microworlds. However, this was not a detailed tutorial and left options open.

Online Research
Finding the right images using websites such as Unsplash and Pexels to get copyright-free shots.
